Commenting on the US election as a Brit is fraught with difficulty. It’s not my country, not my right to vote, so not my place to comment, right? Why should I care if an overgrown, narcissistic man-baby, the love child of the Antichrist and a bag of Cheesy Wotsits, gets to sit in the world’s power throne - again?

It's easy to mock Trump from afar. A preening simpleton, an Anime bully - he's the bullsh*t-spewing manifestation of the secret, truer (but rarely discussed) American Dream:- 'Born Rich, Get Richer' - the one that's absolutely unattainable to 99.9% of his followers.

He's a hero in his own mind, with an ego inversely proportional to his doll-like hands. What's ironic is that the threats of direct action by his followers should he lose (which is looking increasingly unlikely at 7.30am GMT) mean his victory would actually be better for Americans who abhor needless violence - but only in the very, very short term.

His rap sheet already reads like the Dwarves in a Snow White horror film:- Liar, Cheat, Narcissist, Bully, Fraudster, Conspiritor & Racist. He might look Dopey, but he's a master media manipulator and social influencer. He's invented a new, brilliant kind of political campaigning, not by manipulating the truth but by ignoring it altogether, bulldozing facts city by city and constructing giant, gaudy palaces of falsehoods and inflammatory BS in their place.

The problem is, Britain is beholden to the USA. We're like one of those oxpecker birds that eat parasites off the bums of hippos. The all powerful American Hippo sneezes, we catch a cold. It gets hurt, we feel the pain. It shoots, we suffer the recoil...

Trump is a clown - but not funny ha ha, more a Pennywise, tempting people down ino his sewer where the most nefarious behaviours of US politics exist. With the swing state of North Carolina turning red this morning, it looks like this sewer is where Americans will be living for the next 4 years, while us Brits will have to inhale the raw smell of sewage, seeping across the Atlantic like a noxious cloud of toxic effluent.

So yes, my opinion on this election is worthless, but my sincere fear for the future of women, immigrants, leniency, sense, justice, pragmatism, empathy and peace in the USA and beyond is very real.

Sadly, it looks like the turkeys have not only voted for Christmas, they've opened a knife sharpening business and are basting themselves in cranberry sauce, too.
